PACIFIC JEWEL SPARKLES AFTER MAKEOVER !

Pacific Jewel Sparkles After Makeover

A fun laser game, a new nightclub, a dedicated chocolate shop and interconnecting cabins have been added to P&O Cruises’ superliner Pacific Jewel during a makeover in Sydney.

The ship has emerged from its refit with a first for the P&O Cruises’ fleet – the addition of Laser Tag, a new game offering endless hours of fun for passengers of all ages on the ship’s top decks.

Pacific Jewel’s child-free Oasis retreat has also been expanded over two decks while a new nightclub now fills the ship’s distinctive dome.

The ship has joined sister ships Pacific Pearl and Pacific Dawn in offering an Orient Bar, an LED wall in the Marquee Theatre, a Chocobloc shop and interconnecting cabins in configurations of quad-quad, twin-quad or twin-twin.

Meanwhile Luke Mangan’s Salt Grill menu has been updated to include new dishes from his shoreside restaurants including Salt and Pepper Prawns with Thai Salad and Cajun-spiced Spatchcock, while La Luna has been rebadged as Luna with a Japanese menu added to its offerings.

The ship’s interior and decks have also been updated with new carpet, furnishings, art works and furniture.

Just like any big hotel refurbishment, P&O Cruises Vice President Hotel Operation Sture Myrmell said Pacific Jewel has emerged from her refit looking a million dollars.

“The new look Pacific Jewel offers something for everyone. Families will love the interconnecting cabins and we know that Laser Tag will be a big hit with young and old, while adults will have more room to relax in the largest Oasis retreat in our fleet,” Mr Myrmell said.

“The new chocolate shop is sure to sweeten every cruise and while there are hours of fun to be had dancing the night away in the new Dome nightclub, it will also be a great place to catch up with friends or simply read a book during days at sea.”

Experience Pacific Jewel’s new features on a 10-night Pacific Islands Christmas cruise departing Sydney on December 18, 2013, priced from $1399* per person twin share.
