P&O CRUISES' PASSENGERS EMBRACE LIFE ON THE EDGE !

P&O Cruises’ Passengers Embrace Life on the Edge

P&O Cruises is celebrating an adrenaline-fuelled six months at sea, with its passengers taking part in more than 25,000 blood-pumping P&OEdge activities since the cruise line launched the adventure park on Pacific Jewel in October.

Adults and children alike have embraced the world’s largest adventure park at sea climbing, swinging, racing and jumping their way around Pacific Jewel on average more than 140 times per day.

Flying across the ship’s top decks on the P&OEdge Flying Fox has proved the most popular activity followed by the Segway Challenge, Bungy Tramp, Funnel Climb and Laser Tag.

The thrill-seeking program features 20 activities specifically designed by Brisbane-based Pacific Adventures to make use of the ship’s existing architecture.

P&O Cruises Senior Vice President Tammy Marshall said P&OEdge had been such a hit on Pacific Jewel that the adventure park would soon be added to the rest of the fleet.

“Our passengers have shown us that they want a side of adrenaline with their cruise experience so we are thrilled to be rolling out the fun and excitement across the fleet starting with Pacific Dawn later this year,” Ms Marshall said.

“These activities are thrilling in their own right, but doing them on a ship adds an amazing fourth dimension to the experience. We look forward to seeing more of our passengers take up the opportunity to climb, swing, race and jump their way around our ships.”

Available onboard now, VIP Adventure Passes offer multiple sessions on select P&OEdge activities from $89 for children and $99 for adults. Individual P&OEdge activities start from $15.
