ROYAL CARIBBEAN EXTENDS EXPLORER OF THE SEAS' DEBUT AUSTRALIAN SEASON.

Royal Caribbean Extends Explorer Of The Seas’ Debut Australian Season

Two exciting new cruises on Explorer of the Seas announced

1 June 2015 –Royal Caribbean International has extended the 2015/16 Australian season of the newest ship to call Sydney home, Explorer of the Seas. Her debut season will now include two new sailings - a 12 night New Zealand sailing and a grand 24-night transpacific voyage both departing in April 2016.

“Even before she arrives, Explorer of the Seas is proving to be a huge hit with Australians so we are happy to announce that we have extended her season until mid-May, when she completes her transpacific voyage. Australians will have more opportunities to experience this feature-packed ship, which will feel brand new thanks to her recently completed multimillion dollar revitalisation,” said Sean Treacy, commercial director, Royal Caribbean Cruises Australasia.

The two additional cruises include a 12-night New Zealand cruise sailing roundtrip from Sydney. Departing 12 April 2016, the sailing calls at Picton, Wellington, Napier, Tauranga and Auckland, New Zealand, priced from AUD $1,299 per person.

The second new sailing is a mega 24-night Transpacific cruise from Sydney to Seattle, Washington. Departing on 23 April 2016, the sailing calls at the South Pacific gems of Noumea, New Caledonia; Mystery Island and Villa, Vanuatu; and Suva, Fiji before continuing her repositioning journey with calls at               Honolulu (Oahu) and Lahaina (Maui), Hawaii, priced from AUD $1,999 per person.

Now’s the perfect time to book these sailings, as new bookings made by 30 June are eligible for Royal Caribbean’s latest deal. Throughout the month of June, Royal Caribbean International guests can take advantage of a special buy one, get one up to fifty per cent off the cruise fare of the second guest. Eligible bookings made on 2016 and 2017 departures will also receive a discount of up to 50 per cent off the cruise fare for third and fourth guests in the same booking, excluding taxes, fees, port expenses and gratuities. This offer is available to book from 1 May – 30 June 2015.

Explorer of the Seas commences her very first season home ported in Sydney, Australia in November 2015, when she will join Royal Caribbean’s other locally based ships, Voyager of the Seas, Radiance of the Seas and in Brisbane, Legend of the Seas. Since Explorer will be based in Alaska during the Australian winter months, guests previously booked on her Asia repositioning cruise have been offered a range of alternative itineraries to choose from.
