P&O Cruises Reveals Names of its Two Latest Ships on Bondi Beach
– Friday July 11 from 11.30am
Australia’s leading cruise line P&O Cruises has chosen iconic Bondi Beach to reveal the names of its two latest ships.
The highly-anticipated names will be revealed as part of a giant sand mural by Port Macquarie artist Chloe Dickey at the southern end of Bondi Beach on Friday morning.
After announcing that it would grow its current three-ship fleet to a record five ships based year-round in local waters, the cruise line put a shout out to the public to name the ships and was inundated with more than 30,000 suggestions on Facebook.
The winning names, suggested by two separate Australian entrants, were chosen based on a shared theme that captures the spirit of a cruise holiday.
P&O Cruises’ two latest ships will take on the new names when they debut with the cruise line in November next year.
