Princess Cruises is helping newlyweds enjoy the honeymoon of their dreams with a new online Honeymoon Wishes Registry.

Couples can easily sign up at the line’s honeymoon registry page, select their desired gifts to enhance their cruise holiday and share the details with family and friends.

The new feature allows couples to choose from a list of options to enjoy on their honeymoon, from contributions to the cruise, drinks by the pool, specialty dining, relaxing spa treatments and shore excursions. All gifts are applied as an onboard credit to the couple’s stateroom account to use during their honeymoon cruise. Couples can also create a wedding website to share photos and details about how they met, their engagement and wedding and e-mail their friends and family directing them to the registry.

Princess Cruises Vice President Australia & New Zealand Stuart Allison said the new registry service would give honeymooners added ease and flexibility when selecting wedding gifts.  “With many couples already living together before marriage, the traditional home-start gifts are often not needed so newlyweds can now ask their guests to contribute to their dream honeymoon,” Mr Allison said.

Princess Cruises created maritime and marriage history when it pioneered weddings at sea in 1998 and has long been associated with romance, with its ships providing the setting for the "The Love Boat" television series.  One of the highest rated and longest-running shows on television, “The Love Boat” aired over 10 seasons during the 70s and 80s.
