Carnival Australia Lends a Helping Hand in the Kitchen for Christmas
Some of Carnival Australia’s staff swapped their desks for kitchen benches last week, to lend a hand as charity organisation Our Big Kitchen provided meals to those in need in the community.
The team of more than 50 Carnival Australia staff prepared meals for delivery to Bear Cottage, NSW’s only hospice for children, an experience which Executive Assistant Amanda Hall said they all found inspiring. “None of us was prepared for how amazing our visit to Our Big Kitchen would be, and we all left the kitchen humbled by the experience.”
Senior Manager Commercial Analysis & International Caroline Handisides said it was a busy but inspiring day at the chopping boards. “We spent the morning chopping vegetables and preparing dessert,” Caroline said. “After lunch we helped the kitchen team package the food that would be distributed to those in need. Overall it was such a rewarding day, one where we were naturally humbled in remembering how fortunate we are in our corporate world.”
